INTRODUCTION
Overview
The UH-104/UH-107 is an Universal Serial Bus (USB) hub,
which is a USB cable concentrator and a bridge between PC
USB Host Controller and USB devices. UH-104/UH-107 is a
full speed USB hub UH-104/UH-107 provides one upstream
port and four (or seven) downstream ports to user. It supports
both full speed (12M bps) and low speed (1.5M bps) devices,
such as keyboard, mouse, joystick and etc. UH-104/UH-107
provides both Self-powered and Bus-powered modes. UH-
104/UH-107has per-port overcurrent detection LEDs, as well
as the per-port power ready LEDs for user. The detailed
specifications please refer to the section of "SPECIFICATION"
Features
• UH-104/UH-107 supports both OHCI (Open Host Controller
Interface) and UHCI (Universal Host Controller Interface).
•UH-104 provides four downstream ports; UH-107 provides
seven downstream ports.
• Both Self-powered mode and Bus-powered mode are
supported and the power mode is auto selected.
• Per-port overcurrent detection and protection.
• Per-port power ready and overcurrent LEDs indicators
• A real Plug & Play and Hot-plugged device.

POWER MODE SETTING
There are two power modes for UH-104/UH-107, one is the
Self-powered mode and the other is Bus-powered mode. For
Self-powered mode UH-104/UH-107 only provides all the
downstream ports
with each port DC +5V, 500mA (max.) power
supply. For the Bus-powered mode, UH-104/UH-107 only
provides four downstream ports (port 1 to port 4). In Self-
powered mode please make sure that the power adapter is well
installed and the plug of Power Adapter is inserted into the
Power Jack of the UH-104/UH-107. The powered mode is auto
selected while you insert ( or remove ) the plug of the power
adapter into ( or from ) the power jack of UH-104/UH-107.
Note : In the mode of cascading many UH-104 / UH-107 Hubs,
the upper layer of the Hubs must always be set into the
Self-powered mode. Only the lowest layer of the Hubs
can be set into Bus-powered mode.
System Requirement
(1) Windows 95 OSR 2.0 or Winows 98.
(2) Your PC must have USB Host controllers inside the
H/W system.

POWER ADAPTER
The Power Adapter attached with the UH-104/UH-107 is DC 6V,
1A (min.) which is a minimum requirement for the device. If user
needs more power to supply the downstream port devices, user
can purchase a new Power Adapter with the Spec of DC 6V, 2A
or 3A. The mechanical of Power Adapter is listed in the follow
figure.
