O P E R A T I O N

Power ON/OFF

In order to use this phone, you must make sure the POWER ON/
OFF
 switch on the handset is set to ON.  You can save battery
power in the handset when the switch is set to OFF, but you will
be unable to make or answer calls.

Making a Call

Press 

P

, and wait for the PHONE light to go on steadily.

When you hear a dial tone, dial the number you’re calling.

Answering a Call

If the handset is in the base, lift the handset.  The PHONE
light goes on, and the call is connected.

If the handset is away from the base, press 

P

 or any

key on the handset, including 

V

.  The PHONE light

goes on, and the call is connected.

Ending a Call

If you are near the base, place the handset in the base.

If you are away from the base, press 

P

.

Redial

The last number dialed (up to 32 digits) on this phone is stored in
redial memory until you dial another number.

Mute

The Mute feature allows you to hear your caller, but prevents the
caller from hearing you.
While on a call:  Press

To continue your conversation with the caller:  Press

Ringer Controls

Handset Ringer Volume

In standby mode, adjust the handset ringer volume by pressing

+

 on the handset to increase volume, or 

-

 to decrease.

Base Ringer Volume

Set the Ringer ON/OFF switch on the back of the base to ON if
you want the base to ring, then press 

+

 or 

-

 on the

front of the base to select high or low ringer volume.

Set the switch to OFF if you don’t want the base to ring.  When
the Base Ringer is OFF, the base won’t ring, but the IN USE light
will flash when a call is coming in.

Ringer Selection

You can choose from four different ringing options.  Your selected
setting affects both the handset and the base.
