NAT provisioning configuration
Both the AT&T active
ARC
®
APs and active500EM Access Controller must be configured to complete the NAT configuration.
NAT Ports
The active500EM and associated access points use TCP ports 57776-57779 to communicate over NAT. Set a policy on your NAT
firewalls, gateways, and/or routers to open TCP ports 57776-57779 to all associated AT&T active
ARC
®
devices on the local and remote
networks. Please refer to the NAT device/firewall manufacturer’s user documentation for proper configuration.
Access point NAT configuration
Configure the AT&T active
ARC
®
Access Point in
Fit
mode
by selecting
Advanced Configuration > AP
Mode
and choosing
Mode Fit
.
Under
Configure Managed AP Administrative
Mode
, enter the global/public IP address of the NAT
supporting firewall, gateway, and/or router, which
is front of the active500EM Access Controller (e.g.
174.210.254.69), in the
Switch IP Address 1
field. Click
Update
.
If the active500EM Access Controller is not set up
behind a NAT supporting gateway and is placed
directly on a public IP address, then that public IP
address would be entered in the
Switch IP Address 1
field.
Up to three additional active500EM Access Controller IP addresses can be entered in the fields
Switch IP Address 2
,
Switch IP Address
3,
and
Switch IP Address 4
as backups.
Note: There are specific AT&T active
ARC
®
active500EM Access Controller configurations required to setup Access Point provisioning
over NAT based environments. Please follow the instructions detailed in Chapter 10 of the
active500EM Wireless Web User Interface
Manual
to complete the provisioning.
