Expanding the volume capacity
You may use two new hard disk drives to replace the existing one, and expand the capacity
of the RAID volume.
•
The capactiy of th new hard disk drives should be 50GB larger than the existing one.
•
This function is available only when the RAID 1 volume is optimal.

To expand the capacity of the currently displayed RAID volume:

From the Manage Volume screen, select Online Capacity Expansion, then press
<Enter>.

This field is used to expand the capacity of the currently displayed
RAID volume.
This field is disabled under the following conditions:
- The volume is not a RAID 1 volume.
- Firmware is configured to diable this feature.
