MMS network settings, eg “fetmms”,
“chtmms”, “twnmms”, “tatmms”, etc.
The handset user can change them as
well. The handset user can change the
following setting of each item:
•
Name
- to modify the name of a pro le,
select this item, and it takes you to the
editing screen.
•
Message Server
- to modify the MMSC
url, select this item, and it takes you to the
editing screen.
•
Data Account
- to modify the setting of
the data account, select this item and it
takes you to the Data Account screen to
choose a GPRS dat account.
•
Connection Type
- to modify the
connection type. The choices are
Connection-oriented and Connectionless.
•
Username
- to modify the valid
username of the WAP gateway, select
this item, and it takes you to the editing
screen.
•
Password
- to modify the password of
the WAP gateway, select this item, and it
takes you to the editing screen.
5. Auto
Signature
: This option lets users
con gure their auto signature, and allows
them to switch it on and off. The default
value is
Off
.
6. Memory
Status
: This screen lists the
memory status of MMS.
•
Usage
- current message number/
maximum message number.
•
Total
- the total space occupied by MMS
messages.
•
Free
- the space left to store MMS
messages.
To con gure message settings:
1. From the main menu, select
Messages >
MMS > Settings
.
2. You can change any setting by highlighting
it with the joystick and then using the
joystick (left and right) to scroll through the
options for each setting.
Chat
You can use your phone to chat with other cell
phone users.
To use the chat function:
1. From the main menu, select
Messages >
Chatting Rooms
.
2. Use the joystick to highlight a chatroom
from the list, the press the enter key to
con rm.
3. Press the enter key to display the
chatroom information.
4. Enter a nickname and destination number
if required.
5. Press the left soft key
to save your
new settings.
6. Use the joystick key to select the
Start
New
option, then press the
Enter
key to
con rm.
The chat session begins.
