Install the Finishing Materials
1. Complete finished interior wall.
NOTE:
To install the fireplace facing flush with the finished
wall, position framework to accommodate the thickness of the
finished wall.

Attach the Safety-in-Operation Warning Labels
1. Attach the furnished safety instruction labels at all fireplace
operation and control points (
Page 46
).
NOTE:
The installer MUST ensure these warnings are properly
attached during installation. The warning labels are a critical
means of informing consumers of safe operation practices.

Barrier Assembly Replacement (Craftsman, Artisan, and
Reflection) -

If the screen mesh barrier gets damaged it shall be replaced prior
to operation of the fireplace.
Instructions will vary slightly depending on facade and unit size.
Retain all fasteners removed during disassembly, they will be reused.
1. Lay the façade face down on a soft, level, non-abrasive surface.
2. Using a 1/4” nut driver, remove screws around the perimeter of
the barrier (see
Figure 36E
).
a. Craftsman and Artisan: 6 screws, Reflection: 5 screws.
3. Craftsman and Reflection only: remove visual deflector attached
by 3 screws (see
Figure 36C
).
4. In one place on each side, bend retaining tab up to clear barrier
(see
Figure 36D
).
5. Using an 11/32” nut driver, remove lock nuts attaching visual
deflector/barrier retainer (see
Figure 36E
).
a. Craftsman: 7 nuts, Artisan: 4 nuts, 11 nuts.
6. Remove and discard damaged barrier assembly from the façade
and replace with new barrier assembly.
7. Reassemble in reverse order of disassembly. Take care to not
over-tighten nuts to prevent damage to the façade.
NOTE:
Barrier assembly does not come pre-drilled for screws
(from step two) and does not need to be. The sharp point on the
screws will penetrate the barrier frame with downward pressure
while turning the screw into place.
