Installing the Altair™ Series 40” and 45” logs
The logs have notches/tabs to assist proper positioning. Upper logs rest on lower logs via notches/tabs. Proper log
placement is critical to prevent sooting. Place the logs in the gaps between flame peaks, so they do not impinge the
flames. Follow the log placement instructions precisely.
NOTE:
Do not cover the burner ports.

If necessary, remove the glass door (Pages 57-58).

Position the rear log #1 (Figures 51) on the two rear setting pins shown in Figures 50.

Place the left rear log #2 (Figure 52) over the 2 left pins on log #1 (Figure 51).

Place the upper right rear log #3 (Figure 53) over the 2 right pins on log #1 (Figure 51).
