Step 1.
(See Figure 1)
Place the Chimanea body (B) on its
side on a non-scratch surface. Thread 3 studs (H)
into each leg (A). Attach legs to body with flat
washers (I) and nuts (J). Take care not to over
tighten.
Step 2.
(Figure 2)
With the help of a friend, rotate the
Chimenea on to its feet. Position the lower chimney
(C) onto the body so that the mounting tabs are
aligned and secure with bolts (G), flat washers (I)
and nuts (J).
To start a fire:
1
. Open the upper fire screen door.

. Arrange a small amount of wood logs in the center of the
fire grates.

. Close and latch the upper fire screen door.
4
. Open the lower fire screen door and place a small amount
of fire starting material (example: Natural kindling or store
bought fire starters), below the wood logs. Light the
starting material with a long match.
CAUTION:
Do not use liquid fire starter, charcoal
lighter or any other combustible liquid to start the fire
WARNING:
Take care never to touch the chimenea
after the fire has been lit and for at least 3-4 hours after
the fire is out. Then wear gloves to protect yourself.

Position upper chimney (D) onto lower
chimney (C) so that the mounting tabs are aligned
and secure with bolts (G), flat washers (I) and nuts
(J). Place the Chimney cap (E) in the holes in the
top of upper chimney (D).
Note:
If required, gently bend the chimney cap
support rods to align with holes.
Step 4.
(Figure 4)
Install grates (F) in bottom of body.
Operation:
Become very familiar with opening and closing the
upper and lower fire screen doors before initial
operation. For the first three or four times you use
your chimenea, make only small fires burning not
much more than 1 hour at a time. This is the
seasoning period, and if care is taken you will be
able to enjoy years of satisfaction from your
chimenea.
