Block the screws with cylinder plugs. Turn the 
key first to “ten o’clock” and push a plug into 
the opening between the screws on the right 
side of the cylinder. Then turn the key to the 
“two o’clock” to mount the plug on the left 
side. This is done to prevent removal of the 
lock by someone who is unauthorized.

Slide on and snap in place the inside 
cylinder sleeve.

Place the square peg for the knob in the 
appropriate place and fasten it between 
the lock case and handle plate with plastic 
stop washers. Make sure the stop washers 
do not jam in the hole. For extremely  
thin or thick doors it may be necessary 
to saw the square peg or replace it with a 
longer one.

Put handle plate in place with the thumb 
turn knob positioned vertically.
