To adjust the period of inactivity before the screen switches off:
Hover over the Sleep option and press the Select key.
Use the down and up arrow key to choose a time interval. Press the Select key on the relevant selection and this
will save the selection.
Security
The Aspera F40 has the ability to set a phone lock and a SIM card lock on system start-up. There is no functionality
for a password for when the phone lid is closed.
The phone lock is a password used to enter the phone during system start-up. To set this up:
Access the Settings applications, located on the second landing screen
Go down to and select Security
Select Mobile lock
You can then enter a PIN code and save it with the keypad.
NOTE: If you lose this PIN code you may lose access to the phone, and consequently all data. Please
ensure that if you do set a PIN code that it is remembered or stored safely somewhere. Aspera Mobile take
no responsibility for any locked devices due to PIN codes being lost.
The SIM card lock can be enabled or disabled by:
Access the Settings applications, located on the second landing screen
Go down to and select Security
Go down to and select SIM card lock
When highlighting Lock SIM card, use the Select key to toggle this option
