3.3.1 Console Cable Configuration
The following picture show a Typical connection between a DB 9 connector and RJ connector to
the ONU 500:

3.3.2 Local Logging
The ONU 500 and ONU 500-S provides an RS-232 serial port that enables a connection to a
PC or terminal for monitoring and configuration. To do this you will need a RS232 (no cross over
cable) cable; attach a VT100-compatible terminal or a PC running your favorite terminal emulation
program with the following parameters configured:
Select the appropriate serial port (COM port 1 or COM port 2).
Set the profile to the default switch profile.
Once you have set up the terminal correctly, the console login screen will be displayed.
The Default console login is:
