E-Commands – See Table on Page 28
The jumper must be set in order to use E-commands. To use E-commands
the jumper must be placed on pins J5/6 and The GageMux® reset using the
reset button. To return to the rotary switch mode settings, hang the jumper
from pin J5 only and hit the reset.
The structure of the E-Command is
EXXXX<CR><LF>
XXXX is the mode setting value and can be found in the E-Commands
Table on the following page.
Example One:
E1010<CR>
This command would configure the unit with the mode 1010.
According to the table this mode is:
Normal Footswitch mode,
9600 baud and USB output
.
Example Two:
E5010<CR>
This command would configure the unit with the mode 5010.
According to the table this mode is:
Global footswitch mode,
USB output with 9600 baud.
Example Three:
E5031<CR>
This command would configure the unit with the mode 5031.
According to the table this mode is: Global footswitch mode, RS-
232 output with 38400 baud.
After sending this command, the unit sends
“
OK, Mode set to 1010, Please Reset the Unit
”
“
You would like to Reset Now? (Y/N)”
You need to reset the unit in order for the mode changes to take place.
If you send “Y” the unit would reset on its own, or you can send “N” to
reset the unit later.
