Installation and Configuration
After installing the UPAC hardware, the basic configuration is easily done with the help of
a setup wizard. The wizard includes all basic settings needed to get the UPAC up and
running.
2.1
Cables and Adapters

Cables to DECT Exchange and adapters can be ordered separately, refer to the
UPAC – Unite Packet for Messaging and Alarm
.
If you want to make your own cable, refer to the descriptions in
2.2
Mounting
UPAC should be placed in a dry environment with a temperature range of 0 to +40°C.

Note:
•
Only install one module at a time, otherwise problems might occur during IP addressing.
•
To facilitate service after the unit is installed, we recommend a free space of about 150
mm above and 50 mm below the unit.

IMPORTANT:
• The module must be mounted in a vertical position to ensure sufficient
cooling for the electrical components.
• Always follow the instructions in
when disconnecting the power to the module.
