Precautions

Measure permeate flux before and after each EFM, CEB, alkali CIP, and acid CIP to allow for a

check of flux recoverability (effect of cleaning). Ensure sufficient rinsing between chemical cleaning

steps when employing more than one chemical. Mixing sodium hypochlorite and acid generates

chlorine gas.
