When the instrument is shut down, the most recent active parameters are also automatically
saved into a “default” non-volatile memory. Thus, when starting the instrument, the last used
parameter set is automatically loaded.
Additionally, the user may store or recall a setup profile into numerated non-volatile
memories via the menu “Setup Profiles”. A total of 10 user defined profiles may be stored in
this manner. These files are stored internally as setup 0 to setup 9. However, the user can give
the files useful names by keying in a name using the numeric keypad in the same manner as
texting with a cell phone. When a number is pressed, the first letter associated with that
number is shown. Using the UP (
) and DOWN (
) keys, the letters associated with that
number are scrolled through in sequence. For example, pressing “7” results in “p”. Pressing
the UP (
) or DOWN (
) button repeatedly scrolls through the options as follows: “q”, “r”,
“s”, “7” and then comes back to “p”.
