Pulse counting measuring key
1. indicating pulse rate value (CPS/CPM)
In radiation ray pulse rate testing mode, radiation ray pulse is constantly measured by counter tube and transfer
into pulse rate.
Press “CPS/CPM” pulse button and once and then press a second time, then comes to pulse rate unit conversion,
which is from CPS to CPM.
CPS: pulse number per second
CPM: pulse number per minute
2. Press “CPS/CPM”key
the third time, comes to pulse counting mode, and the screen show the pulse icon;
press the“CPS/CPM” key again(the fourth time) to end pulse counting. There will be a buzzer sound as reminder;
and then meter enter into timing pulse counting mode, at this time the pulse and timing flashing icon will appear;
press this button again can stop pulse counting; continue to press this key will return to CPS pulse counting function
3. Long press “CPS/CPM” key
for two seconds under pulse measurement mode, then comes to setting
measuring time, and the screen show “pulse” and “time” icon. At this time the displayer shows three digits, default
value is 060, means 60 minutes, max to 999 minutes, and the first digit(the hundreds) is in scintillation state, and
this value can be set directly
• Press
enter key for the first time to set tens digit
• Press
enter key the second time to set single digit
• Press
ESC button and return to the previous state
• Press
enter button the third time to ensure time input complete and show the current setting value
• Press
enter key the fourth time, enter into dose accumulative working state, and the icon “time” on the
top left corner starts blinking
• Press
down key or
up key to adjust the display value.
If measurement time is set, there will be a short sound of buzzer to remind user at the end of the measurement, at
this time, the meter show accumulative value for this period of time, meanwhile “time” icon is shown in the current
interface and it stops blinking.
he following two methods can stop measuring.
• in not timing condition, the fourth short press at “CPS/CPM” pulse key will end accumulative measurement, and
comes to timing measurement; during timing measurement, short press this button will stop the accumulative
state.
• to choose other operation mode, then measuring results disappear.
Menu set up
Press “setup” button enters into menu setup interface. Date, time, alarm, pulse sound
, mean time set(T),
Bluetooth wireless data transmission(BT); if press this key and do nothing, one minute later it will automatically
return to “μSv/h” measurement mode.
Date format: year, month, day
Time format: hour, minute, second
Alarm threshold: 1-999μSv/h, default value is 205μSv/h
Pulse sound: choose between two state “ON” and “OFF”
Time set for radiation average time measurement: this setting can change the processing reaction time of meter
to radiation source, set range is 8s to 120s. With the increase of radiation dose rate, it will reduce the average
time automatically according to the proportional and this is based on the setting of current average time. When set
it as 8s, the fastest response time can reach 2s in condition of radiation strength is greater than 5μSv/h. Factory
default time is 30s.
Bluetooth data transmission: choose between two state “ON” and “OFF”.
Set date
1– Press “setup” key once, select “date” icon through “UP” or “DOWN” key; then “DATE” icon will blink, you press
“enter” button to choose your required function, meanwhile press “enter” key again to set your required “year”
“month” “day”. For example, when “year” icon is blinking, press “UP” or “DOWN” key to adjust the value, then
press “enter” to confirm.
2– Press “enter” button and set “month”, when “month” icon is blinking, press “UP” or DOWN” to adjust the value,
then press “enter” to confirm after you set your required number.
3– Press “enter” the third time to set “day”, the method is the same like above.
4– After finishing setting, press “enter” and return to main menu, then choose next menu to set or press “ESC”
to exit.
Time set
Press “setup” key once, to select “time” icon through “UP” or “DOWN”. Please refer to the method of DATE SET and
then set the time( hour, minute, second)
Alarm threshold value set
(default value is 205uSv/h)
1– Press “SETUP” key once, then select “ALM” (BL) icon through “UP” or “DOWN” button, at this time the “ALM”
icon will blink, then press “enter” button to confirm your required function;press “enter” button again to choose
single digit, ten digit and hundred digit, and related digit will blink, then to adjust the threshold value by pres-
sing “UP” or “DOWN” button; after setting complete, press “setup” and return to main menu.
2– When the measurement value is greater than your set value, there will be continuous buzzer sound to remind.
