1. OPENING FOR THE FIRST TIME:
The first opening of the safe is done using the emergency key. To do this,
you must remove the knob and access to the emergency lock that is hidden
behind it.
To remove the knob make sure you have the following tools:
1. A metal objet (no supplied). It can also be useful the back of the emergency
key.)
2. A screwdriver (not supplied)
3. An opening lever (supplied in an envelope along with the emergency key)
• Place the metal objet, closer to the central area of the knob and remove the
magnetic round piece that hides the screw.
• Using a screwdriver, loosen the screw completely.
• Remove the knob and insert the emergency key (which can be found inside
the envelope) into the lock.
• Turn the key to the left (counter-clockwise).
• Insert the lever (which can be found inside the envelope) into the knob
shaft, lining up the flat part of the shaft with the lever.
• Turn the lever to the right (clockwise) and pull it to open the door.
In order to function, the safe needs 4 x 1.5 V alkaline batteries that are
placed in the battery holder located at the back of the door. In order to
insert them, open the cover of the battery holder and place the batteries
according to the diagram that is found on the inside. On completion of this
process the electronic system will be activated.
To close the safe, follow these steps:
• Turn the emergency key on the right (clockwise) direction up to coincide
with the first extraction slot and remove it.
• Remove the lever and place the knob, lining up the flat part of the shaft
with the knob. Screw it and hide the screw with the magnetic round piece.
• Turn the knob in a counter-clockwise direction.
2. OPENING AND CLOSING THE SAFE:
• Press the key. A green light will begin to flash (if it is red, see point:
6. “Condition of the battery indicator”).
• Enter your personal opening code (1 2 3 4 if it is being opened for the
first time). The light will continue to flash.
• Press the key and turn the knob to the right (clockwise). If the en-
tered code is correct, the light will be illuminated continuously for 3
seconds and a long beep for acceptance will sound; you have this time
to turn the knob and open the safe. If the entered code is incorrect,
or you did not enter any combination, 4 short deep sounding beeps will
sound and the light will go out. In this event, repeat the process. The
safe will allow up to 5 incorrect code entries before becoming blocked
for 15 minutes as a security measure, during which it will emit a beep
every 8 seconds. During this time it is not possible to use the keypad.
To close the safe, simply turn the knob to the left (anti-clockwise).
