from the unit microphone to the telephone set. After releasing the key, the direction of voice
transmission changes to reversed order, from the phone to the unit. Thus, the conversation
does not require additional manipulations from the side of the duplex subscriber.
DIS unit has an embedded automatic direction control scheme for the intercom
communication, which can be activated via DCN communication system configuration
parameters, with the corresponding SW3.2 switch setting (see 1.2.2).
The scheme works as follows:
when you send a voice message through the microphone of the unit, the
sensitivity of the microphone automatically increases, and the volume of the
built-in speakers, on the contrary, automatically decreases to a minimum;
when receiving a message, on the contrary - the loudness of the built-in
speakers of the DIS unit is maximal, the sensitivity of the microphone is minimal.
To achieve optimal communication quality when using the speakerphone circuit, it is
recommended to keep the distance to the built-in microphone about 30 to 50 cm, but not
less than 12 cm. It is not recommended to use this scheme when communicating under
conditions of a high ambient noise level. In such conditions, to avoid false startup of the
speakerphone circuit, it is recommended to use half-duplex communication or a headset to
communicate with duplex devices.
In detail, communication modes and DIS configuration parameters are described in the
documents "DCN communication system. Operation Manual. Part 2. Administrator's
Manual" RMLT.465275.002, including the Administrator's Manual to IPN system.
