3 MAINTENANCE
3.1 General guidelines
Maintenance should be performed to ensure reliable operation and constant
availability of TDA-500.
The maintenance entities are:
−
TDA-500;
−
the condition and connection of cables connected to the TDA-500.
Maintenance shall be performed by personnel in charge of maintaining TDA-500.
Maintenance should be carried out within the timeframes that are established by the
technological regulations depending on the production conditions, but at least once a year.
3.2 Safety precautions
During maintenance, observe safety precautions according to general and local
«Occupation safety rules when operating electrical installation».
3.3 Maintenance procedure
Maintenance includes as follows:
−
when installing TDA-500 in a communication cabinet, open the cabinet, make
sure that there is no moisture inside, visually inspect the module, if necessary,
clean the connectors and the module from dust with an air jet. Contaminants
removed by air blowing must not get onto other units;
−
inspect TDA-500 enclosure visually, no mechanical damages (cracks, dents, etc.)
on the enclosure, cover or controls are allowed;
−
inspection of cables suitable for TDA-500. They should not be squeezed, should
not have sharp bends (bend radius of at least five cable diameters) and have
damage to the outer sheath;
−
check reliability of connection cables to TDA-500 – cables should not be tensed;
−
check reliability of fixing the wires in the connectors «48V DC», «OUT» and the
terminal block «Channel» on the screw terminals;
−
carry out a functional test of the TDA-500 according to 3.4.
Approximate maintenance time is 0,5 hour.
