1. Choose a location for the fan which will

ensure adequate clearance from all objects
and walls and greater than 2.1 metres from
the floor.

2. At the selected mounting position, check

whether there is a ceiling joist to which the
fan can be secured. If there is no suitable
supporting member, install a 50 x 100mm
brace between ceiling joists.

Secure the mounting plate (1) to the ceiling
with two mounting screws (5) (with rubber
levelling pads beneath if required).
Note: Install the mounting plate with the
installation hook towards the floor.
Temporarily hang the top canopy by the
installation hook through a mounting hole.
This hook will support the entire weight of the
motor housing while wiring installation takes
place.

3. It is necessary to run wiring between the fan

location to the location of the wall controller.

5. Fit the fan blades.

For metal blades:

Fit the blade with the bracket facing up.
Ensure that the fibre washer is fitted between
the bracket and motor housing as shown in Fig 5.

For wooden/rattan blades:

First assemble the blades.
Assemble using screws, washers and nuts in 
the order as shown in Fig 6. Use 3 sets of 
screws washers and nuts for each bracket and
blade. Tighten the screws firmly without over
tightening.
Once assembled, fit the blades to the fan motor
in the same way as for the metal blade shown 
in Fig 5, but with the bracket facing 

down

Wiring should be at least 1mm

the fan must be earthed.
Wiring for light adaption shown dotted - 
omit if adaption is not to be used.

4. (a) Thread two canopy fixing screws and lock 

washers (3) into two opposite holes in the 
rim of the mounting plate. (fig.4)

(b) Thread the screws into the holes until 

approximately 5mm remains between the 
screw head and the rim of mounting plate.

(c) Remove the canopy from the installation 

hook on the mounting plate.

(d) Slide the canopy (8) up the downrod onto 

the mounting bracket and align the locking 
slots of the canopy with the two screws 
installed in step (a).

(e) Push up to engage the slots and turn 

clockwise to lock into place. Immediately 
tighten the two mounting screws.

(f) Install the remaining two mounting screws 

into holes in the canopy and tighten firmly.
