Adjustment
Push up the locking collar (E) and
slide the top section of the IV pole
up or down to the required height.
The pole can be adjusted with
one hand as shown.
Removal
Remove all equipment from the hooks. Adjust the IV pole to minimum
height and pull the pole vertically out of the socket.
WARNING
A clinically qualified person should assess the risks involved before transporting a
patient while IV equipment is in use
When moving the bed, do not allow the IV pole or associated equipment to come into
contact with surrounding objects or people as this may cause injury and/or
equipment damage
Do not use the installed IV pole to move or manoeuvre the bed
When the IV pole is installed, the head end panel should only be removed after
assessment by a clinically qualified person, as the gap between the IV pole and
safety side constitutes a potential entrapment hazard
Do not use the IV pole or hooks to support items or equipment other than fluid bags,
syringe drivers, etc.
WARNING
Ensure the accessory hooks are securely fitted on the IV pole before use.
