IMPORTANT WARNINGS
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
When using electrical appliances, the following elementary precautions must be observed:
• Ensure that the voltage of the appliance corresponds to that of your power supply.
• Wash all the accessories thoroughly before use.
•
DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR ASSEMBLY (BASE), THE PLUG OR THE POWER SUPPLY
CABLE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID.
• Do not move the appliance when it is in use.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains when it is not in use, before cleaning and before attach-
ing or removing parts or accessories.
•
TAKE GREAT CARE TO AVOID ANY CONTACT WITH MOVING PARTS.
• Do not pull on the power supply cable to unplug the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance if the power supply cable or plug are damaged, or if the appliance
malfunctions. Take it to your nearest Authorised Assistance Centre.
• The use of extension cables not authorised by the manufacturer may cause damage or acci-
dents.
• If the power supply cable is damaged, in order to avoid any risks it must be replaced by the
manufacturers or by their technical assistance service, or by a similarly-qualified technician.
• The power supply cable must not be allowed to hang over the edge of a table or work surface.
Do not allow the cable to come into contact with hot surfaces.
• This appliance is designed FOR DOMESTIC USE ONLY. It must not be employed for commer-
cial or industrial use.
• The use of accessories not recommended in the user’s manual may cause fire or personal
injury.
• Do not place the appliance over or near sources of heat or electric elements. Do not place it
on top of other appliances.
• Do not operate the appliance when it is empty.
• Do not use the appliance outside the house.
• To avoid accidents and damage to the appliance, keep hands and kitchen utensils well clear of
moving blades and discs.
• THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE KEPT WELL OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
• The blades and discs are very sharp and must be handled carefully. Always hold them by their
plastic parts.
• To avoid accidents, never fit the discs to the base without having fitted the bowl.
• Ensure that the bowl and disc holder are fitted correctly, and that the food guide or dicing
accessory is fitted before plugging in the appliance and starting it.
• Never feed in food by pressing with the hand. Always use the press provided.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when it is in use.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in. Unplug it after every use.
