21. Remove two hex head screws retaining clutch
bracket.
22. Remove pinion shaft, spacers and pinion gear. The
chain will remain on output shaft of transmission.
See Figure 9.
23. Remove hairpin from shift rod and disconnect from
the bell crank. See Figure 10.
24. Carefully remove transmission, transmission
mount, and attached controls from frame.
25. Remove transmission from mounting bracket.
Discard bracket. See Figure 11.
Track Models: Discard spacer plate (04535200).
26. Mount the transmission to the new transmission
bracket (item 1) with only the “front” bolt. Control
linkages remain on transmission. Install chain over
transmission output shaft.
NOTE:
Install rear mounting hardware finger tight to ease
installation.
27. Install spacer (item 4) onto transmission output
shaft. See Figure 11.
