CHECK AUGER PADDLE WEAR
See Figure 13.
Check that paddles have not worn past wear
indicator holes. Replace auger paddles when
paddles have worn completely through wear
indicator holes. See
CHECK SCRAPER BLADE WEAR
Replace scraper blade if damaged,
completely worn through, or with every other
paddle replacement. See
NOTICE:
DO NOT allow scraper blade to
wear down too far or auger housing will
become damaged. See
CHECK BELT WEAR
Adjust auger cable to compensate for belt
wear. If auger cable has been adjusted for
maximum tension and auger stops or stutters
when auger control lever is engaged, belt
may need replacement. See

IMPORTANT:
All references to left, right, front
or rear are given from the perspective of
operator in operator’s position, facing the
direction of forward travel.
REPLACE AUGER PADDLES
Replace auger paddles when paddles have
worn completely through wear indicator
holes. See Figure 13.
IMPORTANT:
ALWAYS replace paddles in
pairs. DO NOT replace only one paddle.
Remove Auger Paddles
1. Stop engine and wait for all moving parts
to stop and for hot parts to cool.
2. Disconnect spark plug wire and turn fuel
valve to off position.
See Figure 14.
3. Tip unit back onto handlebar bend.
NOTICE:
DO NOT tip beyond handlebar
bend or oil may leak from engine.
