SP1 and SP2

These buttons allow you to switch the speakers on and 

off.
The LED above each button glows green to indicate 

which speakers are currently selected. If you are using 

the bi-wiring configuration described on page 15, both 

SP1 and SP2 must be switched on.
Note that when both lights are out, the amplifier will 

appear not to work, as all speakers are switched off.

Switching on

The 

POWER

 button switches the unit on and off.

The power light (next to the ‘POWER / STANDBY’ 

text) indicates the state of the amplifier: it changes from 

red to orange then green if mains power is connected 

and the unit is switched on.

CR902 remote 

control

The CR902 is pre-programmed for use with the 

A49.  

Make sure the two AAA batteries supplied are 

installed before attempting to use the remote 

control. 

A.  With the CR902 remote face-down, press down 

on the non-slip indentations of the battery 

compartment cover and slide the cover off.

B.  Insert the two ‘AAA’ batteries supplied. Take 

care to insert the batteries in the right direction 

by following the ‘

+

’ and ‘

’ marks in the battery 

compartment.

C.  Slide the battery compartment cover back and 

lock it in place with a click.

The CR902 requires a clear line of sight to the front 

panel display of A49 to ensure reliable operation.

Alternative code selection

In the rare sitatuation that the CR902 remote control 

happens to operate another device in the room, the 

IR code can be changed to an alternative RC5 system 

number.
To change the remote control to the alternate code:
Press and hold the 

AMP

 key and press

To restore to the original code:
Press and hold the 

AMP

 key and press

 and then

.

Note: the selection of the alternate codes is reset when 

the batteries are changed.
In addition to changing the remote handset, the A49/

C49 unit must also be reconfigured to respond to the 

alternate codes. Either use the 

MENU

 button on the remote 

to access the setup menu, or press the front panel
