2.1 Getting to Know the Computer
Understanding the computer helps you jump seamlessly from component to
component when using the computer. This section will quickly familiarize you
with the computer.

To turn on the computer: Press the button for about 3
seconds to turn on the computer.

To force shut down the computer: Press the button for
about 10 seconds to force shut down.

To put the computer into hibernate or sleep mode:
Press the button for about 3 seconds until the LCD
screen turns off.

To wake the computer from hibernate or sleep mode:
Press the button until the LCD screen turns on.
Note:
The default action for the
Power
button in Windows
7 is sleep. To change the action, tapping
