Broadcast Mode Overview
Command Explanation
Broadcast strings are controlled by using the command
m,n,o,pBR
, where m = 0 to 16, and
includes the following broadcast messages:
0, INTERROGATE MODE
9, NMEA183ZDA
1, ASCII STD
10, ABB SPA MSG
2, VORNE STD
11, DISPLAY BUFFER
3, EVENT DATA
12, PATEK PHILIPPE MSG
4, STATUS
13, KISSIMMEE MSG

7, YEAR + ASCII

n = the update rate, from 0 to 9999 seconds; o = the Time Zone, where 0 = UTC and 1 = Local;
p = the COM port, where 0 = COM1 and 1 = COM2
Broadcast Example
Set the 1094B to broadcast the Vorne Std output at a rate of once per second, in Local time from
COM1.
Send:
2,1,1,0BR
To turn off a broadcast, Send:
0BR
, for COM1, or
1BR
, for COM2.
Returned Settings
After sending certain commands to configure the Model 1094B, the clock will return the new
settings to the computer or terminal. For example after sending 2,1,1,0BR, the clock will return
the following:

COM Port Settings
Set COM Port Settings

Sets the COM port settings as follows:
b = baud rate: 0 = 1200, 1 = 2400, 2 = 9600, 3 = 19200, 4 = 38400; w = word length: 0 = 7
bits, 1 = 8 bits; s = stop bits: 0 = 1 bit, 1 = 2 bits; p = parity: 0 = off, 1 = even, 2 = odd; c =
COM port: 0 = COM1, 1 = COM2.
