Operation mode of the Aquastar SafetyPack

If a power failure occurs during operation, the valve will be powered by an accumulator after
three seconds. If the valve isn’t in position FILTER, CIRCULATION or DRAIN, the valve will
automatically turn into position FILTER. Two LEDs indicate the state of the
SafetyPack
.
9.1 LED - Display
green LED
The
Aquastar
is connected to power supply.
green and red LED
Alternate flashing LEDs indicate power failure respectively
Aquastar
is out of power supply. The Aquastar is powered by an
accumulator.
red LED
The accumulator is empty or broken, independent of power
supply.
no LED on
After 5 minutes, the
SafetyPack
is shutting off automatically.
After five minutes, the power supply of the accumulator is disconnected. During this time the
valve can be run normally.
PLEASE NOTE
: the pump is not powered!
If main power supply is guaranteed, the Aquastar is automatically set into normal operation.
9.2 Manual operation circulation or drain (Only Aquastar Comfort)
In case of power failure, if the manual operated circulation or drain process is set, valve will
not turn into position FILTER.

Aquastar Comfort.
9.3 Charge of the new accumulator
Please consider that accumulator is not charged completely at first operation of
Aquastar
SafetyPack
. During normal operation the capacitiy of 12V 0,8 Ah accumulator is sufficient for
4 times power failure per hour. Accumulator is charged during normal operation.
Exchange of accumulator

Please follow the process when exchanging the accumulator:
(please see item 12 circuit board and item14 exploded assembly drawing)
Turn the valve to position FILTER and press button OFF.
Disconnect the power supply from the Aquastar (Shut off the fuse or disconnect the
plug)
Remove the 6 screws from the cover, remove the cover carefully and disconnect the
connection of the accumulator.
Remove both screws of the battery mounting.
Remove the damaged accumulator and replace it with the new one.
