7. Connect the tiller handle at the upper hole in the rudder shaft using
the remaining tethered clevis pin as shown in photo E7. The tiller handle
should connect at the back and face toward the front of the hull.
8. Finally, secure the clevis pin with the remaining tethered D-ring.
1. This completes the Multisport™ 270 sailboat assembly. Before taking
off for your first sail, be sure to read and understand the information on
Operation of your new boat. Skip to page 24 for Operation.
IV. Assembly - Windsurfer
When setting the Multisport™ 270 up for windsurfing, follow the assem

bly instructions for sailboat as noted below, with the following
exceptions:

2. Do not follow steps B16 through B19 for attaching the main sheet
strap to the back of the boom. Instead, the main sheet/ uphaul strap is
tied to the rope loop at the front of the boom to be used as an uphaul.
3. Thread the rope at the top portion of the uphaul strap through the
white rope loop at the front of the boom. Take an additional turn around
the white loop as shown in photo B3.
