Selecting Passport DCT Settings

Displaying the Settings Menu

How you display the settings menu, depends on whether you have a service portal option. Use 
one of the following procedures.

To access the settings menu if you have a QuickMenu™

Press the MENU button twice and the Settings menu displays.

Note: You can also access the settings menu from the QuickMenu™ menu display. 

To access the settings menu if you do not have a service portal

Press the MENU button. The Settings menu displays.

Language

Specify the language desired for the audio 
(alternate track digital channels only) or display 
(set-top box menus and help).

Specify the cable set-top box’s volume level, 
output mode for analog and digital channels, and 
dynamic range compression and Tru Surround

Closed Captions

Turn on or off closed captions and customize the 
display of the closed captions.

information as viewed from an HD set-top box.
