Passport DCT Customer Service Guide

Selecting Passport DCT Settings

Setting Closed Captions

Passport DCT allows you to customize your set-top box closed caption settings. The Closed 
Captions settings allow you to enable/disable the display closed captions, select an analog or 
digital closed captions service, and customize the appearance of digital closed captions.

Note: The position/appearance of the Closed Captions preference in the Settings Menu is 

dependent upon the configurations available on the set-top boxes.

To set Closed Captions options

7 Press the SELECT button to accept the setting. The option you selected now has a bullet 

in front of it.

8 To exit the Settings menu, press the EXIT 

button.

1 Press the MENU button until the Settings menu displays. 

2 Press the up or down arrow button to highlight 

the Closed Captions preference.

Note: The current state of the closed captions 

option should be displayed in the right 
column.
