Setting Settop AC Outlet Use
The set-top box has an AC outlet on its rear panel. You can plug the TV power cord into this
outlet. This allows you to turn off the TV automatically when turning off the set-top box. You
can also set up Passport DCT to set the outlet as always off or always on. To do this, you use
the Settop AC Outlet preference.
3 Press the right arrow to move to the Option
column. The options for the Settop Clock
preference display.
4 Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the Illumination option. The current
setting displays.
5 Press the right arrow button to move to the
Setting column. The Illumination settings
display; the currently selected setting has a
bullet in front of it.
6 Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the desired setting.
7 Press the SELECT button to accept the setting. The option you selected now has a bullet
in front of it.
8 Press the left arrow button and your new selection displays.
9 To exit the Settings menu, press the EXIT button.
Please note: DCH model converter boxes do not use this feature and the outlet will always be on, no matter the setting.
