The Support Module has 6 dip switches, as shown in the
diagram to the right, that must be configured. The 8800
thermostat must be powered down for 90 seconds for dip
switch settings to take effect.

This dip switch determines if sensor 1 is a controlling (on) or monitoring (off) temperature.
If the switch is set to off, sensor 1 will monitor the temperature. All monitoring values will cycle through the
message center on the thermostat.

If the support module is set to address 1, sensor 1 is set to monitor, and

the 8800 thermostat does not have an outdoor temperature sensor attached then the 8800 thermostat will

use sensor 1 as the outside temperature value.

If the switch is set to on, the 8800 thermostat will use sensor 1 to control and will display the temperature as the
controlling temperature on the 8800 thermostat. If multiple sensors are set to control, the values will be averaged
and the average value will be used to control the 8800 thermostat. The average value will be displayed as the
controlling temperature on the 8800 thermostat.

This dip switch determines if sensor 1 uses the value from the on board temperature sensor (on) or from a remote
temperature sensor (off) attached to T1&T2. If the dip switch is set to on, the Support Module will use the on board
temperature sensor. If the switch is set to off, the Support Module will use the remote temperature sensor wired to
T1&T2.

Note: If the switch is set to off and there is no temperature sensor wired to T1&T2 then no value will

be reported for sensor 1 or sensor 2 and “CHECK SM” message will be displayed at the 8800 thermostat.
