Inverter is a DC/AC pure sine wave
output inverter with digital and high efficient micro controller (CPU). The PV
inverter has both UPS mode and PV saving energy mode, which allows the user to
switch operation mode based on own needs. The PV inverter's factory default
setting is PV power saving mode, but the users can reset it to UPS mode through a
manual adjustment (Please refer to Section 3.4 for detailed operation) or
monitoring software (optional) based on the environmental and power supply
conditions.
The main difference between UPS mode and PV power saving mode is in the
proportion of energy saving. When PV inverter is set at the UPS mode and as long
the power grid can maintain a normal electricity supply, the PV inverter will switch
over to a bypass mode for supplying power to loads, and consequently the
proportion of energy saving is rather low. On the other hand, when the PV inverter
is set at the PV power saving mode, the PV inverter will take priority using the
solar power source, and consequently the proportion of energy saving is very
high. Only when the PV energy input is not available, and the battery power is
critically low will the PV inverter switch over to the power grid for a power supply. If
the power supply from a power grid is not available at this time, the system will
automatically shut down.
3.1 UPS Mode
When the PV inverter is started by a user, it will automatically use the bypass
mode to supply electricity energy directly to the loading devices. At this time,
the solar charger is charging the battery while the mains charger is shut
down. If the solar charger is not in operation, then the mains charger will
make judgment according to the battery voltage sampling value for whether
or not to charge the battery. If the battery voltage falls below the start
threshold voltage of the mains charger at 50V, the mains charger will charge
the battery all the time. If the battery voltage is higher than the start threshold
voltage of the mains charger, then the mains charger will not work.
