Dolby Digital/DTS
Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound are currently what you hear
when you go to movies. Now you can enjoy home theater, or concert
like audio with the most amazing sound quality, in the comforts of
your own home.
Dolby Digital and DTS programming can deliver surround with five
discrete full range channels plus a sixth channel for subwoofers. You
can enjoy your APEX DVD with your Dolby Digital or DTS Digital
Surround Sound System. All you need is to connect your DVD player
to a Dolby Digital/DTS receiver, or a Dolby Digital Ready receiver with
an external (Dolby digital) decoder.

NOTICE
• Do not connect the PCM/BITSTREAM AUDIO OUT jack of the DVD video player to the AC-3 RF input of a Dolby Digital receiver.
Instead, connect to the “OPTICAL” or “COAXIAL” input of a Dolby Digital/DTS receiver or Processor. The input of the A/V receiver is
not compatible with the PCM/BITSTREAM AUDIO OUT jack and is primarily for Laserdiscs only.
• Connect the PCM/BITSTREAM AUDIO OUT jack of the DVD video player to the "OPTICAL" or "COAXIAL" input of a Dolby
Digital/DTS receiver or Processor.
• It will be helpful to also refer to the manual of the connected TV.
• Turn off the power and unplug both units before setting up any connections.
• Due to the wide dynamic range of sound output of the DVD video player, adjust the volume of your receiver to a comfortably modist
listening level to avoid any speaker damage.
• When connecting any disconnecting the DVD video player, be sure to turn off the amplifier to avoid any speaker damage.

How to setup the sound output
Step 1: After you have connected the input and output cables, turn on
your TV and player.
Step 2: Press the Set-up button on your remote control.
Step 3: Select General Set-up by pressing the Enter button on your
remote.
Step 4: Using the Down Arrow Key, highlight the Audio out selection.
Step 5: Using the Down Arrow Key, highlight SPDIF/RAW. Select by
pressing the enter button.
