Connecting to a TV
NOTICE
• Turn off the power and unplug both units before setting up any connections.
• The playback picture will be distorted, if you do not connect the DVD video player directly to your TV because DVD video discs
are protected by Macrovision.
• Therefore, if you connect the DVD video player to a video cassette recorder (VCR), or TV/VCR combination, the playback picture
will be distorted.
• If your TV only has a cable antenna connection and no video inputs to connect your TV to the DVD player, you will need to
purchase an RF adapter from your dealer.
Setting up your player
Be sure your TV is set to the Video Input Channel before you select the Setup Menu.
Step 1: Connect the RCA Video/ Audio cable to your TV.
Step 2: Connect the yellow cable to the VIDEO on the
back of your player.
Step 3: Connect the White and Red cables to
AUDIO OUT of the DVD Player.
(For TVs that support S-Video Output please follow the diagram labled better below)

Connect the DVD video player with an optional S-Video
cable, if the TV has an S video input. Do not connect the
yellow video cable if using the S Video cable.
When you change your Video Output settings in your Setup
Menu, be sure the menu is set to YUV when using
Component Video Output.
