Adjusting Toasting Quality

The toasting quality of the UTX-200 can be adjusted to 

provide a lighter or more darkly toasted product.  Follow 

these steps to adjust toasting quality.

  1.  Open the Front Cover to access the Control Panel 

(Figure 1).

  2.  Press and release the 

ADJ

 button (Figure 14)

  3.  Use the 

PREV

 and 

NEXT

 buttons to adjust the 

toasting quality to darker or lighter (Figure 14).

NOTE: Pressing the NEXT button increases toast-

ing darkness.  Pressing the PREV button decreases 

toasting darkness.

  4.  Test one or two buns to verify that the product is 

toasting at the desired quality

   5.  If the toasting quality needs further adjustment, 

repeat Steps 2 through 4 as necessary.

  6.  This setting returns to the default factory setting 

once the unit is powered off.  Repeat Steps 1 

through 5 to readjust toasting quality if necessary.

Viewing the Program Mode Settings

There are two levels of program information in the UTX-

200 that can be viewed.

VIEWING LEVEL ONE PROGRAM INFORMATION

The level one program information includes the follow-

ing three settings:

•  Platen operation settings
•  Temperature settings 
•  Language Settings (only English is available at this 

time).

Follow these steps to view these settings:

  1.  From any operation mode (

Bagel Ready

Muffin Ready

, or 

Lunch Ready

) open the Front 

Cover and press and hold the 

PRGM

 button for 2 

- 3 seconds.

  2.  The following appears on the display:

 

 

Platen Mode 
Press 

 or 

 or Select

  3.  Use the 

Next

 or 

Prev

 button to scroll through the  

categories:

 

  • 

Platen Mode 

(default setting is 

Lunch Only

)

 

  • 

Units (F/C)

 (default setting is

)

NOTE: The unit will exit the Program Mode after 10 

seconds of inactivity.

  4.  When the desired category is reached, press the 

Select

 button 

ONCE

 to view the setting for that  

category.

NOTE: The current setting will be the FIRST setting 

shown in the display. 

WARNING

Do NOT press the Next or Prev buttons at this 

time. This may change the default settings and 

affect the normal operation of the unit!

  5.  Press the 

Select

 button to return to the Category 

view. You can then scroll to a different category 

with the 

Next

 or 

Prev

 buttons and use the Select 

button to view the setting for that category.

  6.  When you are finished viewing settings, press the 

Select

 button until the Operation Mode (

Bagel 

Ready

Muffin Ready

, or 

Lunch Ready)

 

screen appears.
