2. Turn the measuring range switch to the required voltage
range. If the maximum value for the voltage to be measured
is not known in advance, always select the highest
measuring range and reduce stepwise until a reliable
measurement value is shown.
3. Connect the test wires to the appliance or circuit to be
measured.
4. Activate the appliance or circuit to be measured.
The voltage and where appropriate polarity will
be shown on the multimeter display.
MEASURING DC CURRENT
1. To measure up to 200 mA, connect the red test wire to the
connection marked VΩ mA. To measure between 200 mA and
5 A, connect the red test wire to the connection marked 5 A.
Always connect the black test wire to the connection marked
COM.
2. Turn the measuring range switch to the required DC voltage
range.
3. Disconnect the circuit in which the current is to be measured.
Connect the test wire on the multimeter so that the product
is CONNECTED IN SERIES to the component or appliance on
which the current is to be measured.
4. Read off the current on the multimeter display.
NOTE:
The measuring range for up to 5 A is only intended for
intermittent measuring. The longest permitted measuring time
is 10 seconds and you must wait at least 15 minutes between
each measurement.
