Perform a self test of the signal generator by pressing System | Self Test | Run Self Test.

If the self test does not result in an error message, resume normal operation.
3.
Perform a master reset by pressing System | Config, then touch the tab preset and then reset.

If an error message is displayed, contact your local Anritsu service center for assistance.

Check that the output power does not exceed the specified leveled power rating and that the RF Output
connector is terminated into a 50 ohm load.

Instrument Shows Lock Error
Description:
This error message is displayed in the frequency parameters area to indicate that the output
frequency is not phase locked. This is normally caused by an internal component failure.
Normal operation:
No error messages are displayed.
Caution
Performing a master reset clears all user settings and resets the instrument to factory default
settings.

Description:
This message is displayed to indicate that the RF output is unleveled.

Error 101 DVM Positive 10V Reference,

Description:
The DVM circuitry, located on the A4 auxiliary PCB, is calibrated using the ±10 volts from the
reference supplies on the A4 auxiliary PCB. The error messages indicate a calibration-related problem or a
defective ±10 volt reference.
