FOCUS ADJUSTMENT
The flange adjustment can be optimized by modifying the thickness of the flange shim (17)
-
Mount a PL checker on the lens
-
Mount the lens on the projector
-
Calibrate the distance between the screen and the focal plan at 6'
-
Optimize the focus at long focal length
-
Then, zoom to short focal length
-
If the best focus plan is between the screen and the lens, it is necessary to decrease
the thickness of the shim (17)
-
If the best focus plan is behind the screen, it is necessary to increase the thickness of
the shim.(17)
-
To replace the flange shim (17), remove the PL mount (18) (Picture 4 & 5)
-
Remove the shim (17) (Picture 5)
-
Install the new shim (17)
-
Mount the PL mount (18)
-
Reset the focus at the long focal length and repeat the procedure as described above
