Siderail Replacement

Locate head siderail that requires replacement in bed. Make sure that replacement head siderail corresponds to
the correct side of the bed.

Locate position of bolts and the head type. There are 4 bolts that attach the head siderail to the fowler section of
the bed.

Locate the position of the 4 nuts on the other side of the bracket. Also determine the size of the nut. Locate the
cable routing from the siderail.

Follow the cable routing from the siderail as shown in the picture to the control unit box located underneath the
head section of the bed in the upper frame.

If applicable, locate position of the control unit underneath the fowler litter section in the upper frame. Locate
the 4 screws that hold the metal cover and proceed to remove the screws holding the cover to the bed.

Follow cable routing from siderail to the control unit. Locate position of the connector to the control unit.

Remove 2 screws holding cable restraints.

Disconnect siderail from the control unit while noting down position of the control for the siderail.

Loosen the 4 bolts and nuts holding the siderail to the fowler bracket. Remove siderail from bed.

Take new siderail replacement and proceed to attach it to the fowler bracket (located on the fowler litter
section). Using the same bolts and nuts that were removed from step 9.

Re-route cable along the upper frame of the bed back to the control unit.

Connect the siderail connector to the control unit as indicated.
13
Press the bed on button and test for bed motions.
