Installation Overview

Software Setup
The installation of the Data Server requires a licence key. To obtain the key the following
information is required:
• Copy Control Version
• Product Name
• Serial Number
• Update Number
From the Landscan directory run
Register.exe to open the
Change or Remove Registration dialog.
This registration information is usually
available to AMETEK Land engineers during
the commissioning process.
If you need to obtain your license
information, contact AMETEK Land via the
email following address:
land.enquiry@ametek.co.uk .
7.1 Software Registration
The following additional information is required to generate the appropriate licence key:
• Number of Scanners connected (max. 8)
• Number of Live Clients connected (max. 4)
• Type of external communication
• Any Active X Licence for live data
The licence can be inputted to the system from a file. Copy the file into the Landscan directory
and run Register.exe . If the key is correct, a small pop-up box appears and asks for
confirmation.
Once done, the software registration is completed.
An existing licence can be extended at any time.
