Warning
REMEMBER
to wear goggles when using compressed air
and cleaning oil.
If the calibrator has reached a temperature below 0°C/32°F, ice
crystals may form on the well. This, in turn, may cause verdigris to
form on the material.
To prevent this from happening, the well must be dried. This is
done by heating up the calibrator to min. 100°C/212°F and any
water left will evaporate.
Remove the insulation plug while heating up.
It is very important that humidity in the well is removed to prevent
corrosion and frost expansion damages.
The stirring magnet and sensor basket (ATC-140/250 A/B
only) –
When removed from the calibrator the items must be
cleaned thoroughly with dry disposable paper towels to avoid
spilling of fluid. Drops of silicone oil can be removed using a
special cleaning oil.
The sensor-under-test (ATC-140/250 A/B only) -
When removed
from the calibrator the sensor must be cleaned thoroughly with dry
disposable paper towels to avoid spilling of fluid. Drops of silicone
oil can be removed using a special cleaning oil.
Caution…
Avoid getting silicone oil on the clothes. It is impossible to
wash off.
The filtered air intake (ATC-125 A/B only) –
The dust filter,
located in the bottom of the instrument, must be changed when it
is fouled up.
