Connect the bathtub drain to the

fl

 oor drain.  Hook up the

water to the faucet and gently put back the bathtub at the

speci

fi

ed area in step 1, and wipe off the silicone excess.

Check that all connections are waterproof.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Removing Stains and Fixing Scratches or Burns

Like other high-use product, nicks, scratches and cuts are inevitable

with Mineral Cast.  But, because Mineral Cast is solid all the way

through, it is easy to renew to its original appearance as described

below.

Identify the extent of the damage and ascertain whether a minor

repair will solve the problem.  If the damage is minor, try to repair it

with an abrasive cleanser or a common household degreaser.  Soapy

water or ammonia-based cleaners will remove most dirt and stains

from both types of

fi

 nishes.

INSTALLATION STEPS

If the above step is unsuccessful, follow the simple polishing steps

below:

Matt Finish –

1.  Clean the surface with water and make sure no dust remains
2.  Use 400 grit sandpaper to sand the surface with no water.
3.  Clean with cloth.

Glossy Finish –

1.  Clean the surface with water and make sure no dust

remains.

2.  Use 800 grit sandpaper to polish the surface with water.
3.  Use 1500 grit sandpaper to polish the surface with water to

gain a smooth surface.

4.  Use 2000 grit sandpaper to polish the surface with water to

gain a smoother surface.

5.  Wipe the water off the surface with a dry clean cloth.
6.  Polish with G3 wax.
7.  Wipe the remaining wax with a dry clean cloth.

Preventing Heat and Other Damage

Avoid exposing mineral cast to strong chemicals, such as paint

remover, oven cleaner, etc.  If contact occurs, quickly

fl

 ush the

surface with water.  Do not use acetone-based polish remover.

Renewing Mineral Cast

While nicks, stains, cuts and scratches can permanently mar most

other surfaces, they won’t compromise the appearance of Mineral

Cast surfaces.  That’s because it is easy to restore Mineral Cast to

its original state, using an ordinary abrasive cleanser and common

household degreaser.  If damage does occur, mineral cast can be

repaired on site, saving both downtime and aggravation.
