Before you begin: Do not, handle these logs with your bare hands! 

Always wear gloves to prevent skin irritation. After handling logs, 

wash your hands gently with soap and water.

All Logs

The positioning of the logs is critical to the safe and clean operation 

of this heater. Sooting and other problems may result if the logs are 

not properly and firmly positioned in the appliance.

  Failure  to  position  the  parts  in  accordance  with 

this diagram or failure to use only parts specifically approved 

with this appliance may result in property damage or personal 

injury.

ATTeNTION:

 For the instructions below, "Front" indicates the 

side of the burner with the valve.

1.  Place Middle Log "C" at the rear of the burner.
2.  Place Right Front Log "B" on front right two pins on the 

burner.

3.  Place  Left  Front  Log  "A"  on  front  left  two  pins  on  the 

burner.

4.  Place  Rear  Log  "D"  on  the  two  pins  on  the  the  rear  log 

support.

5.  Place Left Top Log "F" on the left pin of the "D" log and the 

pin on the "A" log. Note: The portion of the "F" log with the 

bark should rest on the "D" log.

6.  Place Rear Top Log "E" on the right pin of the "D" log.

7.  Installation of the Monticello log set is complete.

NOTe:

 When placed correctly, the logs will not cover any ports 

and all non-charred log edges will face outward. See Figures 1 to 

3 and Ember Placement Photos, pages 6 through 8.

Note:

 A single layer of embers is to be used when applying Platinum 

Bright Embers (alone or in combination with production embers) 

to the burner.

The following WARNING applies when log set is installed onto 

an unvented gas burner assembly.
