6. Open petcock valve (FIG 11.1A) to prime
diesel fuel pump. When fuel appears in the
clear line (FIG 11.2B), close the petcock valve.
7. Start pump engine. Reference engine op-
erator’s manual for all instructions regarding
operation and maintenance of your pump
engine.
8. Fill fuel to desired level and release nozzle
trigger. Do NOT overfill. Leave room for
expansion.
9. Turn off engine, retract diesel fuel hose and
nozzle to diesel fuel reel, close main fuel valve
(FIG 11.2), and replace machinery’s fuel cap.
10. Place all fuel manifold valves in the CLOSED
position (FIG 11.3) before transporting.

Allow pump engine to cool before closing both
compartment doors.
WARNING
Do NOT leave diesel fuel dispensing hose unat-
tended.
