Indoor Installation
This section explains how to connect the housing
and eyeball assembly to a:
•
Mounting base without I/O board (page 11)
•
Mounting base with I/O board (page 17)
Items You Will Need
You should have on hand the following
tools and parts:
Install/Removal tool to attach and detach domes
and bubbles without a ladder from mounting
bases with I/O boards.
Base kit:
−
RUIOB/RUWIOB (base with I/O board), or
−
RUPTB/RUWPTB (standard base without I/O
board).
SpeedDome Ultra VII with EIS housing and
eyeball assembly, 0101-0120-21.
Other Preparations
To ensure a smooth and successful installation,
you must:
•
Have electrical work comply with latest national
electrical code, national fire code, and all
applicable local codes and ordinances.
•
Coordinate work with other trades to avoid
interference.
•
Verify existing site conditions and coordinate
with the owner's representative and appropriate
utilities as required.
•
Obtain copies of all related plans, specifications,
shop drawings and addenda to schedule and
coordinate related work.
•
Thoroughly review the project to ensure that all
work meets or exceeds the above requirements.
Bring alleged discrepancies to the attention of
the CCTV Project Coordinator.
Connecting to the Mounting Base
without I/O Board
This procedure explains how to connect the
housing and eyeball assembly to a mounting base
without I/O board.
WARNING:
Ensure that ac power and
electrical signals are off during wire
connections!
1. Set the dome address (Figure 11).
At the top of the housing are three address
switches. From left to right, set the switches to
the desired address. For example, for address
166, set SW3 to 1, SW2 to 6, and SW1 to 6).
