Fascia Plate Installation
1) Push the plastic safety lanyard attached to the fascia plate
into the lanyard tab slot on the chassis frame. The tab must
be all the way through the tab slot to prevent accidental
dropping of the fascia plate (see Figure 18).
2) Push the fascia plate snaps into the snap receptacles located
on the chassis housing.
Trim Ring Installation
An optional trim ring (part number AD1273/TR) is available to
improve the final appearance of installations that require
cutting the existing ceiling or drop ceiling tile.
NOTE: The AD1273/TR Trim Ring replaces the fascia cover
provided with the standard AD1273 unit.
1) Remove the fascia cover from the AD1273 chassis housing
by gently prying loose the cover-to-chassis mounting snaps.
2) Remove the fascia cover safety lanyard by twisting the
plastic tabs where the lanyard inserts into the chassis frame
mounting slot (see Figure 18).
3) Insert the trim ring safety lanyard by twisting the plastic
tabs and inserting into the chassis mounting slot (see Figure
18, Detail A).
NOTE: The fascia cover safety lanyard and the trim ring
safety lanyard use the same chassis frame mounting
slot.
4) Align the four mounting snaps on the upper surface of the
trim ring to the four chassis frame mounting snap
receptacles.
5) Push the trim ring upwards until the four mounting snaps
are secure in the four mounting snap receptacles.
