is set. The CUE button can be held down to
momentarily play the CD. When you release the
CUE button it instantly returns to the CUE POINT.
You can also tap the CUE button to create a BOP
EFFECT (for definition of BOP EFFECT, see page
25).
18. TAP/BPm BUTTON -
This button is used to
override and manually set a tracks BPM. Occa-
sionally the built-in BPM meter may not function
as desired. This button allows you to override
the internal beat clock and manually set a tracks
BPMs. To manually set the BPMs; tap this button
a few times to a tracks heavy down beat, the
unit will automatically calculate your tapping and
translate it into a tracks BPM. The BPM readout
is then displayed in the LCD (21). To return to the
automatic BPM counter, press and hold down the
button for at least 2 seconds and then release.
19. SEARCH BUTTONS -
This search button allows you to quick-
ly scan backwards through a track.

20. TRACK SELECT BUTTONS -
This button is used to select a track.
Tapping this button will forward skip to the next
track, holding down this button will rapidly for-
ward skip through the tracks.
+10 TRACK SKIP -
This button allows you to
skip ahead by 10 tracks. Example: if you are
at Track #1, pressing this button will skip you to
Track #11, press the button again, it will skip to
Track #21. If there are not that many tracks, it will
go back to Track #1.
This button is used to select a track.
Tapping this button will back skip on track, hold-
ing down this button will rapidly BACK SKIP
through the tracks.
21. LCD DISPLAY -
This high quality LCD display
indicates all the functions, as they are occurring.
This display is viewable at several comfortable
angles (see page 8). The display ICONS will be
explained in the section D.
