SAFETY REGULATIONS
Warning:
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed.
The following instructions need to be observed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or
injury.
General
1. Read this user manual carefully before you use this device and keep it for future
reference.
2. Use this device only as described in this user manual.
3. Check if the voltage indicated on the device corresponds to the local voltage before you
connect the device.
4. Always use an earthed socket.
5. Check the device regularly for damage. Do not use the device in case the power cord or
plug is damaged, or when any component of the device has been dropped or damaged.
If the power cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by a service centre authorized
or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid safety hazards.
6. This device is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction regarding the use of the device by a person responsible for
their safety. Careful supervision is required if the device is used near children, pets or
plants.
7. Do not allow children to play with the packaging wrapper. When playing with it, they may
catch themselves and suffocate.
8. Do not leave the device unattended when the plug is in the socket. Always take the plug
from the socket when you clean the device or when you are not using the device or for
carrying out maintenance.
9. Never pull the power cord to disconnect the plug from the socket; instead, hold the plug
and gently pull to disconnect.
10. Do not use the device with an extension cord, unless this extension cord has been
checked and tested by a qualified mechanic.
11. Do not pull or carry the device by its power cord and do not use the power cord as a
handle. Do not pull the power cord around sharp edges or corners.
12. Keep the device, the plug and the power cord away from open flames and hot surfaces.
